Salvation

He is the resurrector

of my unknown death.

The rescuer who found

me when no on else

knew I was lost.

Depth of life has

been restored

Deep love with boundaries

surround me.

I am whole again

for the first time.

Faith - Triolet

She breathes his beating heart in hers.

His touch and words are oh so pure.

Their love does stand the test of time.

She breathes his beating heart in hers.

Her heart he cradles in his hands.

She has no doubt he is her man.

She breathes his beating heart in hers.

His touch and words are oh so pure.

March 2024

The stars in his eyes beam

I look at him and quiver

His love for me is flowing

I drown in his sweet river

He shines into my soul

my clouds he does uncover

His lips are my undoing

For he's my cosmic Lover

Happy winter!

Stay warm, happy, and always have a book open :)

Triolet

The simpleness of being there.

In holding hands, and soulful stares.

I dream of this for my hurt heart.

The simpleness of being there.

I miss the days where two unite.

The warmth of you throughout the night.

The simpleness of being there.

In holding hands and soulful stares.

Absorption of Life

Reflective is the minds eyes

roving over the years.

Glue the pieces together,

with laughter and often tears.

Mirror the moments we love,

holding close to our beating heart.

Sorrow we push to the back,

yet joys we never do part.

Cloud the images over,

set them as we’d like to see.

Our conscience can then be at peace,

our future can then be set free.

Hey readers and writers! How ya doing?

I’m sitting here looking at a beautiful spring almost summer day. Skies are blue, not a cloud in the sky and I’m reading a really good book. What more can you ask for?

I’m embarrassed to say I missed talking about Poem In Your Pocket day, but you did not disappoint. Thanks for all the poems you shared and sharing all the ways you celebrated this day. You’re amazing!

So you’ve asked what I’ve been busy with? Well…. that’s a good question! It seems that days speed by too fast!

We have been able to spend time with family, visiting and camping however recently.

Harlow Rain loved camping in a tent, it was her first time. Our youngest granddaughter.

We stayed in a beautiful place right on the Columbia River

Getting excited about taking a bike ride with her mom down to the swimming area.

…and away they go!

Other news is one of our granddaughters Maizy Pepper, got all dressed up for prom xoxoxoxo

And of course a dinner date Harley ride.

I am always grateful for your continued support in buying, reading and sharing my books on many social media platforms. If you are not already following me for fresh content on instagram, please do so, there is a link on the home page here.

January 2023

Hey there, thank you for popping in for a minute.

Well, we’ve made it another year, with some crazy things going on all over the world, but we’ve survived, and thrived!

How’s your writing going? Ha! I already know it’s going fabulously, since you have shared so many with me. Thanks for being brave, and doing so. I would LOVE to feature some of them here. Emails are out to those of you I’d like to feature. OR if you have not sent any in for me to read, what are you waiting for!? You can do it :)

So many are dealing with challenges these days, and need help even with day to day things. How’s your neighbor doing? Let’s check in with those we love, and those we hardly know. Share some love and concern.

Human compassion can go a long way.

Here’s a poem I wrote along those lines.

Homeless

We sit each day, among this mess.

The dust, the smell, this dirty dress.

It’s cold outside, the blankets thin.

We sit each day, among this mess.

The stares we get, cause us much shame.

Though, no one knows, we’re not to blame.

We sit each day, among this mess.

The dust, the smell, this dirty dress.

Oh the most asked question….”Are you going to write another book? Are you working on anything?”

Answer: Yes and Yes… but these things take time. My next book will be written with the help of my husband. We’ve had a plan for awhile, and it’s a work in progress. Be patient!

Until next time, be safe, happy and keep reading!

Much love to you all.

October 2022

Hello there!

Although it’s the end of October, today is the first day, I’ve had to put jeans on instead of shorts. We’ve had an AMAZING summer, and autumn in terms of weather, and in so many other ways.

We actually had a smoke free wild fire summer! It’s a miracle. It was so nice to do all outside activities we enjoy without having to breathe smoke, or worse, stay inside.

We did it all this summer. Grandkid fun, beach, motorcycle riding, concerts, camping, wine tasting, and parties. It was eventful. Here are a few pics to share with you.

Palmer Lake

Granddaughters, Maizy Pepper, and Tiera Genesis, Palmer Lake, Loomis, WA

Granddaughter Harlow Rain, Woodlawn Park Zoo

Annual Oyster Run, biker rally Anacortes, WA

Anacortes, WA

Bow, WA.

Lake Chelan Winery member appreciation party

Blake Shelton, Washington State Fair

Twisp, WA.

And that’s a wrap!

You guys are the best! I appreciate all of your support more than you know.

As you noticed I reduced my social media platforms down to just Instagram. The rest were redundant, and taking up too much time. Thanks for making the move with me!

I do hope you are doing well, and enjoying life with those you love.

Until next time, keep writing, and reading. xo

July 2022

Well! It’s been a minute, and I apologize! Not sure what happened other than life :). I’ve gone through all of your messages, and I hear you. Yes, I am in a little spurt of writing Elfchens. Which is a German form of poetry also known as “Elevenie” . As the name indicates the entire poem consists of eleven words in a certain form.

The 1st line of the poem has 1 word. The 2nd line has 2 words, the 3rd line has 3 words, the 4th line has 4 words, and the 5th line, has 1 word.

The first word is the topic, and the last word summarizes it.

So here are a few examples for you:

Warmth

Burning skin

Long for it’s

Touch upon my soul

Happiness

Him

My heart

Stapled for eternity

Longing for such peace

Never

Sprinkler

Glistening drops

My visual pleasure

The sound of music

Spray

So you get the idea. Thanks for showing the interest, and feel free to send them my way if you give it a try :)

Keep safe, happy, and healthy,

Love to you all, always.

Winter Blog 2021/2022

And zippy do da! …months have passed, and now we are fully into winter, wishing our way out of it. We’ve had a particularly brutal winter, with way minus degrees, and 4-5 feet of snow that is still here. I’m all done, and as I said last blog, looking for somewhere warmer to live!

How are you all doing? For those who have brought me into their personal life, I want to say I’m honored, and you know my heart is with you, your families, and all that you are going through! Keep strong, everything’s going to be OK.

I appreciate all the positive feedback from teachers who are incorporating poetry into the classroom. You asked for it, so here is another lesson that can be used in the classroom, in real life or virtual.

Ok I must admit the snow is a little pretty as long as I don’t have to be out in it. I’ve read many great winter poems from you all, and I appreciate you sharing. I will share one of mine now with you.

Snow Blanket - Haiku

Brown covered in white

Quiet, sleepy, no movement

Snow covers all sin

And that right there is the beauty of snow, it has the ability to clean, and make everything fresh, if only for a little bit.

There are many great snow poems at poets.org by VERY talented writers. I took this directly from the website of Poets.org

Snow Poems

As winter grows colder and snow settles in many cities, read these poems from Poets.org:

River Snow” by Mark Van Doren
Grace” by Joy Harjo
January” by Helen Hunt Jackson
A January Dandelion” by George Marion McClellan
Thaw” by Lola Ridge
The First Snow” by Philip M. Raskin
The Snow Man” by Wallace Stevens
First Snow” by Arthur Sze

This is our area. Beautiful but too cold!

brrrrrrrrr

Ok, I think you can now see why I’m waiting for spring!

I’ve been asked if you can get signed copies of any three of my books to give as gifts for Valentines Day for your special person. YES, but time is running out, shipping is taking so very long these days, so if this is something you’d like, use the contact tab at the top of this website, and let me know ASAP.

You guys are the best truly. You’ve stuck with me for almost 8 years now supporting my writing, and connecting with me on social media. The friendship, and support does not go unnoticed , I so appreciate you!

I keep getting asked if I have another book in the works. To be honest, I don’t know. Writing a book is actually the easiest part, then promoting, and keeping up with it once it’s out is where the work begins. Sales, and all activity with my first 3 books is booming, and keeping me so busy.

That is not to say I don’t have another one in me. I have a few ideas, but the tough part is finding the time to do it justice.

If you are not following me on Instagram, twitter, or Facebook please do, I keep things more up to date there.

Until next time, stay warm, safe, healthy, and keep reading.
